One of the largest influence of technology and students is the visual and pop culture imagery of today. Just as the early development of photography was not always accepted as an art form, there will be those that will not see art produced technically as being valuable or respected works of art. Digital art is and will be the future for many students heading into a vast world of change. I like a quote I once heard that went something like this..."If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change". Photoshop CS6 and Wacom Pen Tablets were used to create their art. Graphic Design students love this project......always interesting to see what "stars" they choose. Two of these "stars" work at our school. One is a rockstar and one is an angel!
Students started drawing on the Wacom Pen Tablets this week. They start with a simple character drawing with an environment. This is getting them ready to create their Celebrity drawings. Drawing with one of these tablets mimics the brush strokes and feel of real illustration techniques better than any mouse ever could.
Thank you Ashtyne for the beautiful Snow Scene! |
